Services at Carpe Diem Behavioral Health

Carpe Diem Behavioral Health is committed to providing a way out of the monotony of maladaptive behaviors. Our staff is focused on finding new avenues and innovative techniques for children to acquire skills that will yield positive results for their environment—at home, school, and in society.

Employing Applied Behavior Analysis, the comprehensive goal is to assess and apply the best teaching strategy for clients to meet their specific behavioral needs. The techniques in the Carpe Diem Behavioral Health model are practice-based and a variety of approaches are often employed to affect change.

These include Discrete Trial Training, Verbal Behavior Programming, Natural Environment or Incidental Teaching, Social Skills and Social Cognition Development, and Functional Communication Training—in addition to many other techniques. Emphasis is also placed on the maintenance of skills and on “generalization”— the ability of a child to comply with the desired behavior in various settings and in the context of many different people. Carpe Diem Behavioral Health offers a variety of services to children and their families.
